Faith Hospice Becomes Level 4 Partner with ‘We Honor Veterans’

Faith Hospice is proud to announce our recognition as a Level 4 Partner with We Honor Veterans (WHV), a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the Department of Veteran Affairs.

The star rating system in the WHV program helps identify hospice organizations that are committed to providing high-quality end-of-life care for veterans and their families.

Hospices can “earn their stars” by completing activities for each of the four levels of commitment. This allows VA staff and Veterans to easily identify hospices that have made a commitment to offer veteran-specific care and services provided by a competent and highly skilled workforce. 

As a Level 4 Partner, our organization participated in numerous activities to improve our capacity to provide Veteran-centric care at the end of life. This included integrating Veteran-specific staff education, collaborating with community organizations, ensuring best-practice standards for identifying and serving Veterans in hospice care, and implementing procedures for continuously reviewing and improving Veteran-centered care.
