Faith Hospice Garden & Prayer Walk: A space for finding comfort and peace.

On Wednesday, Sept. 4, the Faith Hospice Garden and Prayer Walk officially opened to patients,
families, and staff. Nearly 70 guests gathered at the garden, located at the southern edge of
Faith Hospice’s Trillium Woods campus to commemorate the event, enjoy refreshments, and
view the space.

Holland Home Chief Financial Officer, Adam Kinder and Faith Hospice Director of Bereavement
Services, Janet Jaymin offered remarks and prayer as guests stood throughout the serene
garden and path.

The 1-acre accessible space, designed by RJM Design, offers various seating areas lining the
perimeter of the egg-shaped paved sidewalk path. Eight chipped stone walkways lead from the
sidewalk to a large cross positioned in the center of the space. The garden also offers various
arbors, trees, green space, manicured gardens, and groundcovers, making it a peaceful setting
for patients, families, and loved ones to reflect and pray.

“This garden is a testament to the compassion and generosity of our donors, the dedication of
our staff, and the enduring love of the families who have entrusted us with the care of their
loved ones,” said Adam Kinder during the formal remarks period. “It is designed to be a place of
peace and solace – a place where the love of Christ and the comfort of God can be felt in every
corner.”

During her comments, Janet Jaymin added that “a garden and prayer path is an actual walking
prayer. For many individuals, it’s about navigating their grief and loss while looking to find
solace and hope through the transformative power of walking, which leads us to the
transformative power of prayer while deepening our faith and drawing us closer to God.”

A special thank you to the numerous donors, volunteers, and staff that helped turn an idea into
a space that can now serve as a sanctuary to those navigating hospice and grief journeys.
